Frequently asked questions

1. Who is the Rise Summer Series for?

The Rise Summer Series is open to U9–U12 players from all clubs who want to continue developing and competing throughout the summer.

Where a player’s regular club is participating, they can nominate and represent that club in the series. Players from other clubs are also encouraged to register - including those who live in the Rockingham or Kwinana region but play their regular club football further away. These players can nominate a participating club they would like to represent during the Summer Series.

All squad places are subject to the club selection process and available capacity.

2. How long does the program run?

The Summer Series runs for 10 weeks, commencing on Monday 12 October 2026. The regular program concludes on Friday 18 December 2026.

3. What does the weekly schedule look like?

Each player receives one professionally delivered training session per week, held between Monday and Thursday on an evening selected by their club. Players then compete in fixtures on Friday between 4:00pm and 7:00pm.

4. Does joining Rise mean leaving my current club?

No. The Summer Series provides additional football during the summer and does not replace a player’s regular club football.

The series is delivered by Rise Football in partnership with participating clubs. All coaching, curriculum and weekly program delivery are managed by Rise Football and led by Rise Football coaches.

Players whose regular club is participating can nominate and represent that club throughout the series. Players from other clubs - including those who live locally but play their regular football outside the Rockingham or Kwinana region - can nominate a participating club to represent for the Summer Series only.

Taking part does not require players to leave or transfer from their current club.

5. How much does the Summer Series cost and what is included?

The full 10-week program costs $395 per player. The fee covers professional coaching, weekly training, Friday competition.

6. Who will coach the players?

The Summer Series will be delivered by an experienced team of qualified Rise Football coaches:

•  Matthew Brook — Program Lead: Football Australia/AFC A Licence
•  Doug Hesketh: AFC B Licence
•  Mark Sproule: UEFA B Licence
•  Alex Grayson: Football Australia/AFC B Licence
•  Chris Thackray: Football Australia/AFC B Licence
